Boyzone star Shane Lynch needs little introduction. Shane has travelled the globe as a member of one of the most popular and successful boy bands in the world. Boyzone was originally conceived by theatrical manager Louis Walsh who advertised for boys who were interested in auditioning for a band he was forming. After more than three hundred vocalists and dancers tried out, the band was assembled and singles soon followed, originally covers of 1970's pop tunes. Their first release, a cover of the Detroit Spinners' "Working My Way Back To You," reached number three in the charts. Their second single, a cover of "Love Me For A Reason," reached number two.

Dubbed "most promising band of the year" by British magazine, Smash Hits in 1995, the group more than fulfilled predictions. Their first twelve singles reached the top five and they became the first Irish act to have four number one hits in the United Kingdom. Their 1998 tour of Ireland shattered all sales records when 35,000 tickets were sold out in four hours.

As well as regularly appearing on television in acting roles and celebrity appearances, 2008 saw Shane's autobiography "The Chancer" released along with Boyzone reforming for a major nationwide tour in all the UK's major venues.

In spite of his tremendous success, adulation and wealth, Shane recognised that there was something still missing and that there had to be more to life. After dabbling in spiritualism his journey to faith really began when he eventually discovered a personal relationship with Jesus for himself. Shane shares his story with interviewer Steve Legg who tops and tails the evening and interviews Shane.
