Peter Lupson is the author of the book "THANK GOD FOR FOOTBALL" published by Azure Press. This fascinating book tracks the origins of 12 football clubs that have played in the Premier League who owe their existence to a church. The clubs include such famous names as Aston Villa, Bolton Wanderers, Everton. Fulham, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
Peter and the book itself have attracted major media interest, with Sky Sports running a piece on Peter and his book every hour throughout Christmas Day 2006, from 7.00.a.m. to 6.00.p.m.. Numerous articles and reviews of the book have appeared in the national media and Peter has featured in several radio interviews. BBC TV's "Northwest Tonight" also ran a mini series on the book over several evenings. The launch of the book took place at FA headquarters in London and has the support of the Football Association.
Peter Lupson is also the author of a number of successful school and university French and German text books and for 12 years Peter was Chief Examiner for GCE Advanced Level German for the University of Oxford. In football, Peter is a youth scout for a Premiership Club and is Honorary Life President for a semi professional club in North Wales.
Peter takes an evening talking about how people in his book reached out to others with the love of God and how this resulted in the birth of many famous football clubs. Peter also shares his personal testimony and runs a question and answer session on his faith or any matter to do with football.
